Frequently asked questions

How does the 7-day free trial work?+
At sign-up you pick a plan and add a payment card – it's only verified, nothing is charged. For the first 7 days you get full access to the platform and a set of trial credits. If you cancel before the end of day 7 (one click in Billing), you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, the first monthly payment is taken automatically on day 8 and the subscription continues.
How do credits work and what happens when they run out?+
Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance spent per action (e.g. document classification = 2 credits, a scanned drawing page = 8 credits, an AI assistant message = 1 credit). When credits run out, you simply buy a top-up pack via Stripe – your subscription stays unchanged.
Why is scanned PDF drawing analysis priced separately?+
Scanned drawings have no text layer – the system must process them with OCR and vision analysis, which is far more compute-intensive than reading a digital PDF. Every PDF is classified automatically at upload, so you know in advance which files will be billed at the scan rate.
Where is our project data stored and how is it protected?+
Data is stored in AWS (EU region – Frankfurt) in S3, encrypted with AES-256 via AWS KMS. Every customer has an isolated space, files are accessed only via short-lived signed links, and every action is written to an audit log. The backend runs in a private network behind a WAF.
How do roles and team invitations work?+
An administrator sends an invitation link for one of the groups: Admin (all settings and runs), Manager (runs De-Cluttering, De-Engineering, the AI assistant and manages Budget Butler), Technician (works with projects and the AI assistant) and User (read-only). Invitations are valid for 72 hours.
Can the system handle large projects?+
Yes. A typical project holds about 1 GB of data in ~1,000 files (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, drawings) – routine traffic for an S3-based architecture. Files upload directly to storage, so even large drawings never slow the application down.
Can we cancel or change the plan at any time?+
Yes, you manage the subscription in the self-service customer portal (Stripe) – plan changes, payment card and cancellation. After cancelling you keep full access until the end of the billing period plus 30 days to export your data.
